Job Summary: Provide emergency medical care and transportation for patients. Performs departmental duties for CarolinaEast Health, the EMS department, and EMS manager. When the staff paramedic functions as the charge paramedic the additional functions for unit management for an assigned shift is accepted.

Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent is required. CurrentNorth Carolina EMT-Paramedic credential. Have and maintain a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of North Carolina. Demonstrated the ability to drive an ambulance safely and efficiently. Successful completion of EVOC training and certification within one year of hire. Maintenance of EVOC certification; required EVOC recertification training. All personnel operating CarolinaEast owned ambulances must be at least 21 years of age.One year expereince at the EMT-Paramedic level preferred. Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The individual must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status. The employe must be able to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed, as described in the unit/area/department's policies and procedures.

**Sign-on bonus of $3000

**Relocation up to $5000 for qualified candidates

Salary: Min: 15.73 Mid:20.05 Max:24.38
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required
License or Experience: American Heart Association ACLS required American Heart Association BLS (CPR) Certification Required American Heart Association PALS certification required. Certification Required Experience is required
