Job Summary: Coordinates, oversees, and participates in the Nutrition program for CarolinaEast Cancer Center in accordance with established Oncology Nutrition Services Scope of Services, accreditation requirements for The American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, and The American Dietetic Association Revised Standards of Practice and Standards of Professional Performance for Registered Dietitians in Oncology Nutrition Care. Coordinator works independently on all activities of the Nutrition program. This is a professional specialty requiring advanced knowledge in medical nutrition therapy to provide safe and effective nutrition care to patients actively receiving cancer treatment across the cancer continuum including primary prevention, cancer recurrence and palliative care. This person performs as a member of the interdisciplinary team responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of optimal nutritional care and education of patients/clients in accordance with established standards of care. Registered Dietitians performing at this level are highly competent and have demonstrated the professional skills and ability to make clinical judgement in an efficient and effective manner with minimal guidance and supervision.

Minimum Requirements: Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and completion of an accredited program in dietetics. Must be currently registered or eligible for registration as a Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition (CSO) by the American Dietetic Association.
