Clinical Dietitian
Job Summary: This is a professional specialty requiring advanced knowledge in clinical nutrition. A person in this position is responsible for patient care activities, assess nutritional needs, develops and implements nutritional care plans, and participates in patient/staff education and quality assurance activities.

Minimum Requirements:
- B.S. and/or M.S in Dietetics.
- Registration by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- NC licensure (all credentials are kept on file).
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit or area.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the department’s policies and procedures.
