Electronic Systems Technician- Engineering

Job Summary: Installs, maintains, and supports communication systems and other related equipment under the responsibility of the Biomedical Department. Troubleshoots and diagnoses system or equipment issues, repairs and/or replaces equipment and peripherals. Trains end-users on elements of communication systems and other equipment as requested. Provides On-Call support to end-users as scheduled.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Has a working knowledge of basic hand tools and common testing equipment used to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions
  •  Can effectively comprehend and utilize equipment repair manuals, schematics, blueprints and specifications
  • Holds an Associate Degree in Electronics Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline or equivalent preferred
  • Has two years of experience in analog and digital electronic circuit analysis and troubleshooting
  • Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
  • Experience with IBM PC-compatible computer hardware to include but not limited to Microsoft Office and Windows Operating Systems in a Windows 2000+ network environment a plus. 6. Prefer some experience in a wide range of technologies, to include but not limited to: 
  • • Hill-Rom/Rauland nurse call 
  • • Access control systems
  •  • Fire alarm data/signal networks 
  • • CCTV cameras/interfaces
  •  • Low band RF infant projection system 
  • • Alphanumeric pagers/interfaces
  •  • Audio/Visual equipment 
  • • Wireless/RF protocols 
  •  CATV headend/distribution
  •  • Two way radio
