Job Summary: Under the direction of the MRI Supervisor, the MRI technologist operates the MRI equipment and cares for patients.  All duties will be carried out in accordance with policies and procedures as established and approved by the Director of Imaging and the Radiology Manager.

Minimum Requirements: Graduate from an accredited School of Radiologic Science and registered by the ARRT. Two years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist. One year as an MRI Technologist preferred. The MRI Technologist staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served by his/her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess date reflective of the patient's status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and provide the care needed as described in the department's Standard Operating Procedures manual.
