MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School graduate or equivalency; or, completion of 3rd year in the AA Early College Program of a community college and provide transcript to HR
- Nurses Aide I certificate listed with the North Carolina Division of Facilities Services.
- Some understanding of medical terminology *The “Essential” and “Non-Essential” functions of the job are listed due to the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The breakout of these different functions will not impact the Wage and Salary Program
- Able to organize confidential clerical responsibilities and patient care, maintaining workflow despite interruptions and changing priorities
- Able to relate effectively to patients, their families, physicians, staff, and all others using proper channels of communication.
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the nursing unit(s). The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/area's/ department's policies and procedures
- Maintain current BLS certification
- Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
