Payment Analyst II, Accounts Receivable

Job Summary: The Payment Analyst II is responsible for accurately posting payments and refunds, including zero-dollar Explanations of Benefits (EOBs), and reconciling unapplied cash within the hospital billing system. This role ensures that patient accounts are updated promptly and accurately, supporting a smooth revenue cycle process. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement, remittance processing, and excellent attention to detail.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in hospital billing or healthcare revenue cycle but not required.
  • Knowledge of remittance processes and insurance payers.
  • Experience with hospital billing systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and office software.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced health care environment.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
