Physical Therapy Tech, Outpatient Clinic
Job Summary: The Therapy Technician is responsible for assisting in the performance of therapy treatments under the order, direction, and applicable level of supervision of licensed therapy staff members. All duties and responsibilities are to be carried out with empathy and compassion toward patients and their families, as well as toward co-workers. The terms technician (tech) and aide may be interchangeable in reference to this position throughout organizational documentation, policies, and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:
- Completion of Physical Therapy Aide course and/or Nurse Aide Level I preferred.
- Ability to read and write at a high school level.
- The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the staff member’s assigned unit.
- The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to the patient’s age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's departmental policies and procedures.
