Patient Counselor, CIM- New Bern
Job Summary: Answers patient questions about billing procedures, arranges pre-payment, conducts patient interviews, gathers information, and enforces financial agreements prior to providing service.

CarolinaEast Physicians is made up of over 150 physicians, and mid-level providers who provide care to patients spanning four eastern North Carolina Counties. We have specialties including Primary Care, Pediatrics, Rheumatology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Neurology, Podiatry, Endocrinology, Cardiovascular Surgery, Otolaryngology, General Surgery, Oncology, Urology, Physical Medicine and Rehab, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, and Gastroenterology.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
- Must be able to type 40 words per minute.
- Must be able to understand and use a computer and be able to handle various tasks at the same time including the telephone ringing while you are with a patient in person.
- Must have ability to comprehend and implement policy and procedures,
- including Compliance Program Directives.
- Knowledge of applicable payer rules and State/Federal regulations.
- Familiar with all office machines.
- Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
