Quality Nurse Specialist, Outcomes Specialist
Job Summary: The Quality Nurse Specialist is a Registered Nurse responsible for system wide improvement initiatives within the hospital to promote effective and timely performance. Supports medical staff, nursing staff and leadership by identifying opportunities to improve clinical care for identified clinical patient populations. Applies scientific improvement methods to achieve successful outcomes. Identifies outcome variances and facilitates implementation of evidence-based practice into clinical work flows. Collaborates with information system analysts to ensure work flows meet regulatory requirements. Expertly manages complex data collection, analyses and submission requirements. Supports and promotes the culture of patient safety and performance excellence at CarolinaEast.

Minimum Requirements:
- RN with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or RN with a relevant Master’s Degree.
- CPHQ preferred.
- Minimum of five years’ acute care nursing experience.
- Experience in performance improvement concepts and tools as well as in data analysis and statistical process control.
- Expert ability to use electronic health record (EHR) and operate personal computers with proficiency using Microsoft Office Tools as well as other computerized information systems.
- Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
