Job Summary: Horizon Health, the nation’s largest operator of hospital-based behavioral health services in partnership with CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern, NC is seeking a Social Worker/Therapist for its Behavioral Health Program. Responsibilities include completing assessments, developing safety and treatment plans, and providing group, individual, and family therapies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Master’s Degree form an accredited college with a major in Social Work, Psychology, or Mental Health Counseling. 
  • Must have a valid state license as required by North Carolina in which the Social Worker/Therapist will be providing services (LCSW-A, LCSW, LCMHC-A, LCMHC). Minimum of one-year experience in a similar position. 
  • Ability to effectively present information in small group and one-on-one settings to patients, families, coworkers, and program leadership. 
  • Ability to complete clinically significant documentation. 
  • Emotional regulation is essential. Maintains a positive attitude while in the facility and in all work-related activities. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proficient in windows-based software applications.
